    A Cutlass with Scabbard
    The blade is 22-1/2 inches and the overall length is 27-1/2 inches.  The blade is 0.21" thick and 3/4"-7/8" thick.
    It weighs 1 lb 4 oz.
    The handguard is aluminum and the handle is wood with finger grooves.
    It appears unused.  It's moderately sharp.
    The scabbard is steel and fairly heavy at 1 lb 1 oz.  There's some light rust, mostly near the tip, as shown in the photos. It's in the white and could easily be polished or finished.
    It weian be found in any of the countries the Arabs influenced to this day.  The hilt is characteristically solid brass and cast in the form of a gallant horsehead indicative of the reverence for the important animal. The horsehead represented the speed, grace, and endurance of the fine beast."
    "Slightly curved, double-edged blade is high carbon steel with a center ridge for strength.  The scabbard is wood covered with red velvet and a brass tip."
    The blade is 11-1/2" long. The overall length is 16".
    The blade is not sharpened but the tip is pointed. It has a wide edge and would make a nice decorator piece if left unsharpened.
    The piece is unused and the sheath is clean.  There's a small rust-stained area on the right side of the blade just forward of the handle, as shown in the photo. It doesn't feel rough there and can probably be polished out.
