    Description

    This is an American Thermos Bottle Co. vacuum flask circa 1908-1911. We know it was made within those years because it is marked as being made in New York. The company was formed in 1907 when they bought the initial patent and there are more patent dates on this bottle through May 1908. Then the factory moved out of New York to Connecticut in 1912 so this was made before the move. It has to appropriate cork top and clip handle. We believe this is the silver plated brass version. (Not the chrome or nickle plating that came later). It polished up easily with silver polish. It has the glass inside, it's not broken although we do hear a faint rattle when inverting the flask.
    It is in excellent condition for it's age, just a few faint dings/dents and wear through plating on bottom as shown in last photos. One of the original owners etched her name on the bottom. We can't be sure the cork is the original one from the early 1900's.
