Beautiful sword
brass wire wrap on hilndle
must have interesting story-this sword was clearly used in battle with multiple dings on blade however it was chromed after the fact and tipped to be able to be worn at court
Chroming was completed in Germany according to the marks in the early part of the 1800s it seems as the sword itself was created during the American revolutionary time period
marked with LV for previous owner
has scabbard in our opinion it is the original
blade length is 30"/76cm
handle/hilt length 7"/17cm
37"/93cm approx full length
scabbard is 31.7"/80cm-has brass top and tip leather covering however was attempted to be repaired or held together with a leather bonding material-continuing to seperate and is fragile
