Brazilian WWI Era M1908 Pioneer Short Sword

Brazilian WWI Era M1908 Pioneer Short Sword.
Wooden handle. Steel and leather scabbard.
Antique, so it has some small rust spots but nothing that wouldn’t buff out. Overall in great shape for its age.
As is correct for these swords, the blade is totally unmarked, though there are some number markings on the cross guard: 941 and 3628 on the top, and F 1 on the scabbard. The hilt has checkered wooden grip panels, finished with shellac and retained by two screws with split nuts. Overall length of the sword is 20 5/8 inches with a blade length of 15 1/2 inches.
