This is a Cuban Army trophy saber for an Army cadet , winner of the 1915 resistance(endurance)run (marathon), made in Toledo, Spain, with a profusely engraved blade including the Cuban national coat of arms on the obverse and Fabrica de Toledo logo on the reverse ; On the obverse ricasso and partially covered by the langet it is inscribed "ESCUELA DE CADETES" (cadet academy) "1915 CARRERA DE RESISTENCIA" (1915 resistance(endurance)run , and on the reverse ricasso, also under the langet it bears the name and two surnames of the winning cadet which can be partially seen in the photographs provided; I will reveal the complete name of the cadet only to the purchaser for the sake of privacy ; A most interesting and no doubt unique military trophy in fine condition; Sorry, no scabbard.
