german nude figural basket hilt rapier sword engraved blade antique vtg old

antique german nude figure basket hilt rapier sword in very good used vintage condition with an engraved blade as shown. the engraved blade has scrolling with mounted cavalry troopers charging each other in battle. the basket hilt is brass with the nude figure area looking like white metal plated in a gold colored finish. when found in the basement the blade was covered in a light rust crazing which cleaned up fine for now. the sword length is approx. 40 1/2 inches. the sword history is it came from a vietnam war era veteran who was with the 82nd a/b stationed in germany late 50s-early 60s then onto vietnam in the early 60s with a/b rangers. he picked up the sword while in germany before leaving for southeast asia. so the sword is at least 60 years old.
