    Description

    Model 1841 USN CUTLASS.  Total length 27 inches.   Blade length 21 inches.   Blade width 1.7 inches. N.F. Ames, Springfield.  USN 1843.  NO SCABBARD,  no visible rack number.   No chips or damage to the Blade edge.  There is a good deal of staining on the blade from old light rust.  Remember,  it is 179 years old.  There aren't many of these around.   Really nice example.
