This is an example of what I believe to be an early Philippine Sword(WW2 or earlier).The sharp blade measures approx. 19" long  1&5 /8"  wide and almost  1/4" thick at the base of the spine. It is firmly secured to a nice handle that measures 6." long;the handle has surface cracks, but once again everthing is super tight.The heavy brass guard, and ferrule are super tight .This could possibly be a Katipunan sword.
