Spanish Machete short sword c.1850 OBRAS PUBLICAS(Public Works)Toledo rare

A  Spanish machete/short sword, more of a symbol of authority than a weapon (although no doubt could be used as such) issued to Public Works Officials in the Spain of the 1850's, as these officials were Government functionaries; A beautiful piece bearing the scutcheon of the department of Public Works on the front of the cross guard depicting a bridge and an anchor, in reference to bridge, port and and pier building, among some of their duties, plus a laurel wreath ; OAL 22", blade 17", weight 2 pounds, 14 ounces); This is a very scarce item most probably made at the Toledo Factory in the 1850's although it is devoid of factory markings or date, a piece of interest to the advanced collector of Spanish, Toledo, and/or general edged weapons or cutlery collector; The design and the quality of the piece are typical of a Toledo Factory product ; Only one I have seen and owned in fifty years of collecting Spanish weaponry; Condition is as described above and I will not repeat it here; Please study the provided photographs and notice that all three components, blade, cross guard, and handle are loose and can be easily disassembled and reassembled, which does not detract at all from the beauty of the piece; S&H is included in purchase price; Payment, fees, taxes, etc, are handled directly by eBay; PayPal is preferred; Feedback at the end of a hopefully mutually satisfactory transaction; PLEASE BE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN OF YOUR DECISION TO BUY BEFORE DOING SO in order to prevent any unnecessary disappointments, incidents, or returns; With my apologies sale is restricted to the USA only due to confusing customs restrictions , prohibitions, taxes, etc, in certain other countries; THANK YOU.
