Story of Conan and Valeria
: Thulsa Doom, evil ruler of the snake cult of Set, raids a Cimmerian village, killing most of the people and selling the rest into slavery, including young Conan. Conan grows up as a powerfully built man and is trained as a fighter, before being granted his freedom. Valeria, a statuesque Valkyrie of a woman, bumps into Conan and Subotai as they attempt to raid a temple of Thulsa Doom's snake cult. After insulting their efforts, Valeria virtually dares them to follow her over the perimeter wall. Once inside the trio succeed in stealing valuables, killing a very large snake, and earning the ire of the cult. The feisty and formidable Valeria makes the perfect partner to Conan's stolid warrior demeanor and the two develop a close love relationship. This brings them to the attention of the king who hires them to rescue his daughter from the clutches of the Set cult, something which gives Conan the chance to meet with Thulsa Doom again and avenge the death of his parents. As with Subotai, Valeria follows Conan to the end, in pursuit of Thulsa Doom and his minions.
