Vintage European Diplomatic Sword & Scabbard Sheath Mother/Pearl Fine Engraving

Description

Here is a vintage European Diplomatic Sword measuring 36" overall with a blade length of 30.5".  I was somewhat surprised that this did not have any maker's marks because of the fine engraving on both sides of the blade half way up, engravings of various foliate and heraldic motifs, phoenix, etc. Gilded brass hilt w/turn down guard featuring a central corwned eagle with shield on the chest. Mother of pearl grips with one missing showing the wood.  Blade is nice showing light wear, Hilt is a bit loose and somewhat misshapen, guard needs to be straightened a bit  and then the front of the hilt should fall in place correctly. Top of guard is stamped with an "8". Pommel end has small lanyard ring right behind, "lady liberty"  Scabbard is in nice shape with leather and brass.  The drag is not attached to the leather.
