Vintage KRIS CUTLERY Company REAL SWORD AND SHEATH Very nice condition

Description

This is a very nice KRIS Cutlery Co. sword. I suspect that this sword was created in the late 1900's. It is a very solid quality made sword and sheath. Nice
balance
. This is not a play or pretend sword but the real thing.
The sheath and leather handle are hand
stitched and are of very nice quality
. The steel pommel has a
Nickle
plated retention cap.
The blade is beautifully forged. The hand guard and pommel are of excellent manufacture. The sword weighs 3.3 pounds.
Length
of the blade is 33.375 inches. The overall
length
is 43 inches.
There are no noticeable
nicks in the blade however there is a very slight bend in the blade about 12 inches from the tip. These swords were designed to beat against
armor
and if they bent the fighter would straighten it and continue. The edges were dull so as not to chip.
The blade tappers from 2 inches wide down to 1 inch before the final curving to the tip. The blade is approximately 1/4 of an inch in thickness. The guard is 8.5 inches wide.
