Description:
This is an original Turkish Yatagan sword, also known as a Varsak. It has a 24 1/2" Damascus steel recurved blade and a bone and silver handle. The silver on the handle is ornately decorated and inlaid with cabochon stones. This sword comes with a leather and metal scabbard.
Condition:
This sword is in good serviceable condition. This sword appears to be quite old and has oxidation marks on both sides of the blade. It has the patina typical of a sword of its age. There is a significant ding to the edge of the blade 5 1/4" from the tip (possibly from combat?). The handle is tightly secured to the blade. The scabbard is in Fair serviceable condition as it is a bit fragile due to its age. As w
ith all used items, a light cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
